SS16 Swimwear Favourites

Suns out buns out! Time for the beach!
Australia is not only one of the world’s favourite countries for gorgeous sunshine and beaches, but is also the home of many beach wear brands that are in huge demand all over the globe, and we have the luxury of having the latest releases right here at home.
Every year I add another bikini or two to my collection as I turn them over. This process is actually quite difficult as there are so many gorgeous resort items every year to pick from and every year the styles get better and better.
As you may have noticed already this year, the trends in swimwear have had a sport luxe theme, extreme cut-outs (including low and high necklines and high leg lines), lace ups, ruffles, mesh and off the shoulder styles.

Here are some of my favourite resort pieces from Australian designers this season.

What to wear to Portsea Polo | Style Guide

Here we are in 2016! A new year with new goals to conquer and new memories to be made. To start the year off with a bang, we have one of the most anticipated social events of the year this week, the Jeep Portsea Polo.

This event is a lot like Melbourne’s Spring Racing Carnival, however, here we see summer fashion at its best, by the sea.
If you are unsure of what to wear and are stressed that the Polo is only days away, relax, I’ve got some styling ideas for you. A lot of brands are currently holding end of season sales, so now is the best time to get your Polo outfit at a great price too.

Nothing says summer like a white outfit does. It is by far my favourite colour/tone to wear in the warmer months of the year. It’s a gorgeous contrast against sun-kissed skin, and is a perfect clean look for the Polo.

Another option is to rock a cute little playsuit. Playsuits come a range of different shapes, cuts and prints, while simultaneously allowing you to conservatively show off your legs 😉
Coupled with a gorgeous pair of sandals or wedges, you will look 100 at this year’s Portsea Polo in one of these babin playsuits.

Get Portsea Polo ready with a 2 piece combination. From a crop and shorts duo, to a top and skirt set, whatever option works best for your taste and body shape. These pieces can be worn in a range of different ways and are the perfect style for the Polo.

Finally, summer detailing is something you cannot neglect. A pair of stylish sunglasses and a wide brim hat are the perfect finishing touches to your Portsea Polo outfit. Here are some of my current favourites this season.
